During the lockout season of 2011-12 the Rockets and Mavs faced three times with Dallas winning and covering all three games. Trend: Dallas Mavericks are 5-0 ATS in their past five games with the Houston Rockets.

Dallas has owned Houston with seven straight up victories. The team is 9-10 as they continue their voyage early in the season without an injured Dirk Nowitzki. The word is Nowitzki may be out until late this month following his knee surgery. The Mavericks have lost four of their past six games. They get Phoenix on Thursday night in a bad spot and earn the 97-94 road win. Phoenix had just concluded alone six game east coast trip and were playing their first home game following the trip which is always a tough spot for teams. The Mavericks offense has been poor as the club has scored no more than 98 points in their six games.

The Rockets are 7-3 straight up on their home court. The have won five of their past sven games with the losses coming on the road on November 28th to Oklahoma City and on Friday night in a 114-92 defeat on the highway to the San Antonio Spurs. Newly acquired James Harden leads the club with 24 points and 42% shooting. Houston is not a very good defense allowing 103 points and and 46% shooting ranking near the bottom.
