Politicians in the United States are deadlocked over how to resolve the fiscal crisis - and time is running out. The Obama Administration and the Republicans are debating a series of tax rises and spending cuts before January 1. The White House has just rejected a Republican tax plan, saying it's unbalanced. But without a deal, the US could plunge into another recession. Al Jazeera's Patty Culhane reports on the stalemate.
