A judge recently rules in favor of a naked jogger.
Running naked in public is unacceptable in most places; however, it was okayed by a judge in New Zealand. A bizarre scenario played out last year, when a woman, who was walking her dog spotted a naked man running through a forest in
She was so offended that she filed a formal complaint with the police and they arrested the nude runner, 47-year-old Andrew Pointon. He was charged and convicted of offensive behavior.
This year, on his second appeal, Justice Paul Heath ruled in his favor. Pointon celebrated the decision with a naked boogie board ride. He also joined hundreds of people in a group skinny dipping event. Although the ruling was met with mixed opinions, Pointon states “If it was offensive then God wouldn't have given us genitals. It is a win for all libertarians and a setback for all conservatives in the country.”
The judge is receiving a fair share of criticism with one local official stating “Is it OK for someone to streak through his courtroom? He'd be the first one to put them in the cells.”
