Nasal Spray That Can Increase Female Orgasms

Nasal spray can reportedly be used for more female orgasms.

Viagra for women?

A new product being tested is a nasal spray formulated to treat something called Female Orgasmic Disorder, which is defined as a condition where women are experiencing stress from the incapacity to have an orgasm.

The spray is called Tefina, and is a form of testosterone used to dilate blood vessels in the body, including in the genitals where it would increase the sensation in that part of the body.

The issue is controversial because of the phrasing of the condition as a disorder, and also because labeling the condition as one that can be treated by a medication can create profits for pharmaceutical companies.

Doctor Susan Davis, the chair for Women’s Health in the Monash University Department of Medicine in Melbourne, Australia is the lead researcher for the nasal spray trials.

She says that 60 percent of patients in clinical trials have found the spray to be effective in women who were tested using Tefina.
