19 consecutive baby boys were recently born in a hospital.
One would expect roughly even number of boys and girls to be born in hospitals everyday. However, a recent occurrence at a hospital astounded officials.
Nineteen newborns were born over a weekend at University of Minnesota Medical Center…every single one of them was a boy. The babies made an appearance beginning at 9P.M on a Friday and the last male infant was born at 7 in the morning on the following Monday.
At 7:30 A.M. that same day a baby girl was brought into the world, breaking the male streak. A nurse manager speaks of the bizarre birth lineup stating, “I'm calling it a statistical marvel”.
It has been reported that the odds of having a string of 19 consecutive boys is about 1 in 500,000. Hospital employees claimed that they had never heard of anything similar occurring.
As a token of celebration, the father of the baby girl who broke the streak is donating 3 months worth of diapers from his company to each baby boy. A hospital official states “The girls have to catch up now. They have to represent.”
