Many people are getting dead therapy in China.
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be dead?
A form of therapy where people with psychological problems write out their last words and lay in a coffin for five minutes is becoming more popular in Shenyang, the capital of Liaoning province in China.
Over a thousand people have taken part in the therapy, in which patients lay in a coffin and listen to the last words written by them that would be played at their funeral. The patients are then roused after five minutes by the recorded sound of an infant crying.
Tang Yulong, a consultant from the counseling center that conducts the therapy said: "this therapy makes use of suggestion theory in psychology. However, it's only part of the psychotherapy and is not suitable for everyone. We will choose proper ones to receive this death-experience therapy."
Chinese medicine has some very strange methods of treatment.
One such remedy has patients eating tree frogs to cure a stomach ache.
Another medicinal practice used by traditional Chinese medicine involves stinging someone with bee venom to ward off rhinitis, which is an inflammation of the nasal membranes.
