Tiesto has played in sold-out stadiums, received various awards and has a Grammy nomination for his work in the electronic dance music (EDM) industry, but the deejay is no stranger to the global mission in fighting for an AIDS-free world.

"I grew up in the 90's and that was a huge fear factor for everybody. And now they finally have a solution to prevent it for a new generation. In 2015 the new generation can be HIV free."

Tiesto will join other EDM artists during a show on World AIDS Day on December 1 in Melbourne, Australia. What separates the upcoming show from any other causes Tiesto has supported is the global reach it will have.

SOUNDBITE: Tiesto, electronic dance music deejay, saying (English):

"It's a live-streaming of the show and I don't do that very often. You know, I like to keep these shows I do live exclusive to the people who are there. This is probably the only streaming I did do in this year and it's for such a good cause. I had to make the exception."

The musician, who has been playing for massive crowds since 1994, says his goal is to create awareness of the disease, thereby preventing people from getting infected with HIV and AIDS across the globe.
