Thai opposition parties have launched a censure debate against the government on Sunday.
The two-day debate is expected to focus on alleged excessive use of force in curtailing Saturday's protest.
But the motion appeared to have little chance of being passed by a legislature when it comes to a vote on Tuesday.
Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra's six-party ruling coalition controls nearly two-thirds of the seats in the Lower House.
