A Baby Jesus statue is stolen form Birmingham and replaced with a gnome.
Every year, the holidays bring along an abundance of gorgeous, colorful and religious outdoor displays.
However, those same holiday exhibits can unfortunately attract thieves and pranksters.
Recently, a Baby Jesus statue was stolen and replaced with a garden gnome at a nativity display in Birmingham, United Kingdom. The small garden ornament was removed and officials have boarded up the attraction and are trying to figure out how the incident happened.
The theft occurred right as the Frankfurt Christmas Market opened, which attracts millions of visitors who are anticipated to spend approximately $140 million.
One woman states “I think it’s disgraceful. We are told we need to be considerate of every faith but that’s not showing any consideration for the Christian faith.”
Several years ago, another disturbing Baby Jesus theft occurred.
A New Hampshire couple was shocked to discover their plastic Jesus had been taken and replaced with a Budweiser beer can.
