A young boy lays on the floor in Pakistan, with eight kilograms of explosives strapped to his chest.

The youngster, believed to be 13-years-old, was caught by police in the northwestern city of Peshawar.

Officers said the boy was a suspected suicide bomber, who panicked and dropped his detonator.

As he ran, he was caught by police.

A bomb disposal officer diffused the explosive vest, before the boy was lead away for questioning.

A man who had been with the boy on a motorbike was also arrested.
