Owners of 'The Worst Hotel in The World' boast humorous sayings on the website.
Some hotels boast saltwater pools, Jacuzzis and 5 star accommodations. Then there’s another type altogether.
Dubbed, ‘The Worst Hotel in the World’, owners of the Hans Brinker Budget Hostel, located in Amsterdam are taking that title in humorous stride. Guests can pay anywhere from $30 to $68 per person, per night.
According to the hotel description, visitors get: “A bar serving slightly watered down beer. An elevator that almost never breaks down between floors. A basement bar with limited light and no fresh air.“
The owners have written a book about their pride and joy titled none other than “The Worst Hotel in the World”, which they describe as “similar as hell, but without the proper heating”. There is even a legal notice on their website, which states that the hotel holds no liability for terminal illness, lost limbs, food poisoning or mental breakdowns.
The bizarre sales approach seems to be working too. The manager of Hans Brinker states “Most of our guests love our humor and sarcasm and they have diminished their expectations to less than nothing.”
