Let's talk about the biggest games at "the box office"over the weekend. Pulling in $500 million dollars in its first 24 hours, Call of Duty Black Ops 2 completely blew away Assassin's Creed and the new Halo 4. The Activision CEO actually even made an announcement saying that the life-to-date sales for the Call of Duty franchise has now pulled in more money than the franchises of Harry Potter and Star Wars. That's so crazy! We are super crazy for contributing to this!
Halo 4 pulled in some big cash on opening day, making $220 million dollars and are estimated to have pulled in about $300 million plus in Global sales so far. According to the site Chart Tracks, Halo was #1 on the UK charts last week, but dropped to #2 after the release of Black Ops 2 this past week. Sitting at #3 on the UK charts is Fifa 13,' AC3 drops down to #4 while the Activision title Skylanders Giants climbs to #5. Giants is so cool. If you haven't played it yet- get out there and pick it up.
