    Flip the Frog Circus (1932)

    by andythebeagle

Opens with a montage of views of circus performances then cuts to Flip the hot dog vendor.. His hot dogs obey his commands as if they are pets. As a crow watches a side show act a pickpocket joins the group. When his first attempt with a Scotsman fails he moves on to a female victim. Flip sees what is happening, tries to intervene and the chase is on. The pickpocket hops on a nearby horse but when it hears the circus band it runs into the big top and mingles with the acts. Flips remains in pursuit even when the pickpocket tries a trapeze get away and a slide for life. A crash into the hot dog stand seems to wrap things up but there's a surprise ending.
