'X Factor' faced a tough double elimination last night with two favorites going home- Jennel Garcia and LYRIC 145. Here's your X CAP, you're watching ClevverMusic naturally.
We attended the live show here in LA and got a firsthand look at what went down. Before the show judge Britney Spears danced and sang along to Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and it was the cutest thing ever.
When the show started, it was down to business. Hosts Mario and Khloe immediately sent LYRIC 145 home at the beginning of the show, due to the lowest number of fan votes. After the shocking elimination, Taylor Swift took the stage to sing her song "State of Grace" for the first time live wearing black skinnies and a white blouse and hat.
After Taylor's performance we endured another elimination. It was Team Demi contestant Paige Thomas and Team Demi contestant Jennel Garcia who had to sing for their life. Jennel was up first singing "The Reason" and then Paige's turn singing Coldplay's "Paradise".
Now, it's up to the judges to decide who goes home. L.A. and Britney both decided to send Jennel home, and when it was Simon's turn to give his elimination, he decided to put Demi on the spot and make her choose between her contestants first before he would give his answer. It was a mean scheme on Simon's part, and Demi eventually chose Paige. But that didn't matter because Simon sent Jennel home, making it three votes for Jennel Garcia.
We were personally shocked at Jennel going home- as she was one of our favorites. Jennel herself was shocked too and we saw her mouth that to mentor Demi after it was announced. After the shock wore off a tad, Mario and Khloe treated us to the rankings once again. Here's how the contestants ranked based on your votes: at 10th place: Paige Thomas, Arin Ray, Beatrice Miller, Diamond White, Fifth Harmony, Cece Frey, Emblem3, Vino Alan, Carly Rose Sonenclar, and at 1st once again- Tate Stevens.
