New Star Trek Intro Darkness Footage gets bundled with the Hobbit screenings in December. If you're planning on seeing the Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey the weekend of December 14th, you'll have two chances to catch a sneak preview of the Star Trek Into Darkness movie. Here's how it works, the IMAX Hobbit screenings will show the first nine minutes of the film and the Non-Imax Hobbit screenings will show the first trailer for the
film. And to be clear, the trailer is completely different than the 9-minute-preview.

We don't have too many details about the trailer just yet, but TrekMovie.com confirms it will be a traditional theatrical trailer and not just a short teaser trailer. The trailer also isn't just a condensed version of the first nine minutes of the film, as it draws from several
different parts of the movie. After the weekend of December 14th, the trailer will be attached to the front end of some other releases like Paramount's Jack Reacher and should be available online as well. But if you want to see the nine minute preview, you better catch it in theatres as it may be pretty hard to find online.

If you spring for both screenings, you might improve your chances of bumping into Star Trek's new Kirk, Chris Pine who was shocked to hear about the preview footage himself quote, I didn't know that it was going to be shown, I don't know what the footage is, what's exciting for that for me is that I get excited so I want to go to the theatre to just to check it out.Director JJ Abrams has managed to keep nearly all plot and character details under lock and key, like exactly which villain Hobbit star Benedict Cumberbatch will play in the film. Zoe Saldana, Zachary Quinto and Karl Urban will return alongside Chris Pine when Star Trek into Darkness opens in 3D on May 17th, 2013. So are you guys gonna check out both the NON IMAX and IMAX Hobbit screenings to catch all of the Star Trek footage? Let us know your plans in the comments below and keep it locked right here on Clevver Movies for more Star Trek into Darkness news.
