See, the conqueror mounts in triumph - Chris Lawton at St John's Church, Cleckheaton

Me playing the organ at St John the Evangelist Church in Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire.
The organ was originally built (date unknown) by Wood Wordsworth & Co of Leeds. It was rebuilt in about 1957 by the John Compton Organ Company Ltd which included the installation of electric action and a new console of the distinctive Compton design. Im not sure how much of the pipework is original and if any was added by Compton's in the process but this instrument is a good example of Compton's work at rebuilding other instruments. The specification reads:

Im playing the hymn 'See, the conqueror mounts in triumph' to the tune 'Rex Gloriae' which shows off the main sounds on this instrument. Unfortunately, a couple of the stops were out of tune due to recent changes in weather but hopefully that wont deter the beauty of this fine little instrument.
