In this episode of Bangladesh Today, we interviewed Bangladeshi freedom fighter Ferdousi Priyabhashini, who shares with us the ordeal she faced during 1971 Liberation War. Ferdousi was taken to a torture cell by Pakistani occupation forces, where she was repeatedly gang raped. This week, Bangladesh Today also speaks to Shahriar Kabir, the executive president of the Forum for Secular Bangladesh and Trial of War Criminals of 1971. Shariar explains the importance of the International War Tribunal for Bangladesh and emphasises as to why its success is necessary to check the spread of rising fundamentalism.
