Brazil's biggest Catholic church was inaugurated in Sao Paulo on Friday - the 'Mae de Deus' (Mother of God) sanctuary. The enormous, still unfinished structure was designed by the Japanese-Brazilian architect Ruy Ohtake who worked on the project for free. It covers 30 thousand square metres- enough space for 100 thousand worshippers. It's the brainchild of Father Marcelo Rossi - who paid for it with the profits of his media success - a household name in Brazil, he has sold 9 million books and 12 million CDs of prayers.
