Playing around with motion capture files (bvh) in blender.
I just took one of my first (and only) already rigged human models and tried to transfer the bvh motion with bone constraints. Basically : Left leg bone -- copy Rotation -- Left leg bvh bone .. This for each bone + Copy location, et voilà.
The advantage of this method is that you can adjust, correct or modify the animation by adding movement to the original rig, without messing with the bvh. For exemple, if an arm goes trough the body, you can offset this arm a little,etc.. Freely animating the hands and fingers, feets, head, etc..
