It is not really difficult to create an Android app if you have a basic understanding of Java. Edureka's Android tutorials for beginners would help you get a good idea of Android development, and you would even be able to create your own mobile applications
Android for beginners is a 6 weeks course. During the first week you would create basic Java applications in packages. You would learn Java arrays and variables as well during this first week.
