Mother Monster responds to Die Antwoord's video diss with her own insult. You're watching ClevverMusic. Yesterday, South African rap group Die Antwoord debuted their new music video for song "Fatty Boom Boom" which included a blatant diss at Lady Gaga. Gaga had previously asked the group to go on tour with her, and they were apparently offended by the offer. The music video diss featured a transgender version of Gaga visiting Africa and getting eaten by a lion.
At first we weren't sure if Mother Monster would respond to the insult, as she usually likes to take the high road, but it seems she couldn't contain herself. Gaga took to Facebook and Twitter yesterday to diss Die Antwoord back. She posted, "I fink u freaky but you don't have a hit. Hundred thousand tIckets sold in SA. #thatmyshit...I guess its not a good idea to tell someone you're a fan. Never mind! We get it, you're not a little monster. WE GOT IT."
The "Fink u freaky" line is part of a Die Antwoord song, in case you didn't know. We love that she countered by throwing in their face how many tickets she's sold in their country. But the diss doesn't stop there, Gaga's best friend and makeup artist Tara Savelo also weighed in. She tweeted, "@LadyGaga maybe Die Antwoord attended Madonnas school in Malawi? #besties" Clearly playing on the beef between Gaga and Madonna. Tara also tweeted, "I fink you freaky but black face is still racist #willalwaysbetoosoon". She is referring to YO-landi's black painted body in the music video.
What did Die Antwoord have to say about all this? They tweeted, "lady... even though u r 'larger' than us... we still cooler than u..."
