According to the National Show retailers association, men and women's feet are getting bigger. In the last three decades retailers estimate the average size of our feet has grown by a size and a half. Vanessa Yurkevich tells us why that's troubling to shoe stores.

When I worked in retail 10 years ago, sizes were definitely on the rise. Men's range used to be 7-12, women 5-10. Then men's became 8-13, women 6-11. Majority of shoes today are medium width too - men D's, women B's, and that's changing too. Shoes aren't made on identical lasts, especially in China. My shoe size in high school was just 8 1/2 B men's. By age 30 my feet were measuring in at 9 1/2 B. Tracking down narrow width men's shoes is a scavenger hunt.
