Germany could soon be one of the very few countries where the millennia-old tradition of circumcision will be legally regulated.
This Jewish and Muslim tradition was a hot topic of debate this past summer, after a district court ruled that the circumcision of a four-year-old boy amounted to bodily harm. Now the federal government wants to get involved, but child protection organizations dont think much of the draft legislation.
