In a highly controversial move, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) is honouring the families of these two assassins, the men who in 1986 killed General A S Vaidya. Just two years earlier the former Army Chief had led Operation Blue Star to flush out terrorists from the Golden Temple.
