Amid the battle for control of northern Syria, rebels have been trying to cut government forces' supply lines around Aleppo.
After losing the strategically important town of Maaret al-Numan on the main highway from Damascus, the army has sent tanks to try to take it back.
Rebels say they have been using rockets and roadside bombs to stop them.
