    Victor Feldman - "Your Smile"

    92 vistas
Time and again Victor Feldman’s name appeared on albums, usually in the roll of a percussionist. A professional musician from a prodigiously early age, first as a pre-teenage drummer and pianist, Victor began studying vibes at 14, and in due course reached the top of the jazz world in his native London, became admired and known around the continent and just about everywhere else, except the U.S., which seemed the logical barrier to negotiate. Arriving in 1955, He toured with Woody Herman for 18 months before settling in LA. His longest absences since then have included the memorable year with Cannonball Adderley (1960-61), several months as Peggy Lee’s accompanist, and a tour playing vibes during Benny Goodman’s historic visit in the USSR in 1962.
