STORY: Louis Vuitton presented a Spring/Summer 2013 collection on Wednesday (October 3) packed with sharp lines, mod silhouettes and pops of bright yellow. The set, which consisted of four large escalators with yellow striped steps, reflected the motif of symmetry and the idea of mirror images that pervaded the show. Models stepped on the runway in pairs wearing similar patterns, with identical styling. Pattern played a large role in the collection, and many pieces shared a similar checkerboard print with clean, simple lines. Silhouettes were reminiscent of 60s and 70s style, with midriff-bearing tops and A-line minidresses. Accessories were likewise kept minimalistic, and included square-cut heels and cream clutches. American designer Marc Jacobs has been creative director of the French fashion house Louis Vuitton since 1997.
