Zhang Muyi, the 24-year-old Chinese pop singer, and 12-year-old model Akama Miki are officially dating according to Weibo, China's version of Twitter.

Muyi started out as Miki's music coach when she was just 8 years old, and they went on to record duets together. On Miki's twelfth birthday the couple took to Weibo to post photos while professing their love for each other, in what some believe (or at least hope) may just be a big PR stunt.
The couple addressed these rumors saying there is nothing more they can do to prove their love to each other. Other posts included promises of a future wedding, and photos of the two touching fingertips, because that is all they can legally do to physically demonstrate their love.
Given the huge pressure they face to marry, many girls see this as a romantic "how we met" story. Some older Chinese women are jealous, while the rest of the world questions the mental sanity of Muyi.
