Chris Isaak (born June 26, 1956 as Christopher Joseph Isaak) is an indie rock, pop, and rock and roll singer, songwriter, and occasional actor.
"Wicked Game" is a song that was originally released in 1989. It can be found on his Heart Shaped World album. Despite being released in 1989, it didn't become a hit until January of 1991, when it reached #6 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The lyrics have many interpretations: "What a wicked game to play, to make me feel this way / What a wicked thing to do, to let me dream of you"; The "wicked game" is played by a woman who appears to have tricked the singer into loving her, or a woman so captivating that the singer falls in love with her even though he wishes not to (love is itself a "wicked game"). The popular music video directed by Herb Ritts featured top model Helena Christensen rolling on the beach with Isaak. Christensen was topless through most of the video, although clever camera angles concealed any actual nudity. Viewers still reacted to Christensen's sexually suggestive performance, and the video was later featured on MTV's "Sexiest Video of All-Time". A previous version of the video was commissioned for the Wild at Heart soundtrack, and was directed by David Lynch.
The gregorian chant -inspired music group Gregorian made a cover of the song for their album Masters of Chant III.
Isaak has also appeared in numerous films, mostly playing minor cameo roles, though he starred with Keanu Reeves and Bridget Fonda in the 1993 Bernardo Bertolucci-directed Little Buddha, and also played a major role in David Lynch's Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me (1992). Other motion pictures include Married to the Mob (1988), The Silence of the Lambs (1991), That Thing You Do! (1996), and A Dirty Shame (2004). He also guest-starred on the Super Bowl Sunday (1996) edition of the television sitcom Friends and on the HBO miniseries, From the Earth to the Moon (HBO).
In 2001, Chris Isaak starred in his own television show, The Chris Isaak Show. It aired from March 2001 to March 2004 in the United States on the cable television network Showtime. This adult comedy show featured Chris Isaak and his band playing themselves with the episode plots based on fictional accounts of the backstage world of Chris Isaak - the rock star next door.
Isaak is also an amateur boxer, avid surfer and a former Golden Gloves champion.

The world was on fire and no one could save me but you.
It's strange what desire will make foolish people do.
I never dreamed that I'd meet somebody like you.
And I never dreamed that I knew somebody like you.
No, I don't want to fall in love. (This world is only gonna break your heart)
No, I don't want to fall in love. (This world is only gonna break your heart)
With you. With you. (This world is only gonna break your heart)
What a wicked game to play, to make me feel this way.
What a wicked thing to do, to let me dream of you.
What a wicked thing to say, you never felt this way.
What a wicked thing to do, to make me dream of you and,
I want to fall in love. (This world is only gonna break your heart)
No, I want to fall in love. (This world is only gonna break your heart)
With you.
