In a live interview, Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan slams Russia, China and Iran, saying their stance on Syria has allowed a massacre there to go on unabated.

Erdogan citing the killing of more than 30,000 people since the uprising began says Russia, China and Iran are standing by the Syrian regime as it brutally slaughters it own people.

The Turkish prime minister said its impossible to understand how these countries can continue to support Bashar al Assad despite the ongoing violence.

Heavy fighting continues to rage between government forces and Syrian rebels.

Amateur footage purports to show fighter jets bombarding the city of Idlib.

More footage appears to show the moment a shell strikes a building in Homs.

Ankara has allowed the Syrian opposition to base itself on Turkish soil, and the Turkish leader's been pushing for a foreign-protected safe zone inside Syria.

But is finding itself increasingly isolated and frustrated by a lack of international consensus on how to end the carnage in neighbouring Syria.
