All ducks are cute - right? Don't be so sure.
An elderly Sarasota resident, Ingrid Cardozo was enjoying a relaxing day at Arlington Park, taking pictures of wading birds, when she was attacked by a male duck.
On her 911 call, she states “I was attacked by a duck! I am bleeding like a stuck pig on both of my legs”.
The Muscovy duck approached Cardozo and repeatedly scratched her. She tried to kick the duck, but it didn’t faze the angry creature, so she grabbed his neck and flung him off of her.
She is now recovering, but fears that children could get severely hurt by the ducks. Muscovy's are territorial and have been known to bite and use their claws on animals and humans when angry.
Earlier this year, a YouTube video gained popularity involving a man and a confrontational goose. The male is innocently walking when the goose waddled up to him and started a fight.
