Authorities in Nepal have resumed a rescue operation for at least three foreign climbers who are missing after a deadly avalanche in the Himalayas.

As many as 11 people were killed when the huge snowslide struck their camp on Mount Manaslu, the world's eighth-highest mountain at 8,163 metres.

It was the worst avalanche to hit Nepal in nearly two decades.
