Another day, another scalp, as the News of the World scandal continues to unravel. Britain's second most senior police officer has now quit, following the example of his boss who resigned on Sunday. It follows revelations they hired a former News of the World executive as a media advisor, at the same time as they were resisting pressure to reopen a probe into claims the paper was hacking into phones.
