A Yacht With an Underwater Home - as part of the travel series by GeoBeats.
Most people fantasize about having a special yacht some day.
The futuristic, Trilobis 65 is one of them.
It is essentially a semi-underwater vehicle that will allow passengers to experience sea life below the surface, while still enjoying the luxury accommodations of a yacht. The designer states “The main aim of this project is to allow one and all to live in a fantastic, unusual environment in a self sufficient non-polluting habitat. It consists of four levels connected by a spiral staircase."
The top level sits 3.5 meters above the water’s surface, while the second level, residing almost 1.5 meters above sea level, features an outdoor deck and daytime viewing center.
The next floor is semi-submerged and is referred to as the night zone, consisting of bathrooms and the engines’ compartment. The last level is fully submerged, resting 3 meters below the surface and contains an observation area, dedicated to marine life viewing.
The yacht is constructed of steel and aluminum, making it 80% recyclable.
The high-end, eco-friendly boat comes with a price tag of $4,000,000.
