Kylie sparkles at Holy Motors London premiere

Kylie Minogue acts and sings in new French film, Holy Motors.

Leos Carax' obscure movie was one of the most talked about movies at the Cannes film festival, and divided opinion, but Minogue, at the film's London premiere, said she felt lucky to be part of it

(SOUNDBITE) (English) KYLIE MINOGUE,SAYING:

"It's very hard to describe. It's a trip, it's a trip and it leaves you questioning, wondering, and it's beautiful I mean what you see and what you feel is beautiful and then you have all of the questions."

Minogue's character contemplates suicide in the film. Playing a former employee of the film's lead character, Mr Oscar, she sings a love song written by director, Carax and Divine Comedy frontman, Neil Hannon.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) KYLIE MINOGUE, SAYING:

"I was nervous doing everything basically, I was excited, I was beside myself with excitement, but I was definitely nervous too, but I think that's fine, I still get nervous before doing a show."

Eva Mendez also features in the film about a wealthy businessman who spends each day living 10 different lives.

It's due to open in UK cinemas on September 28.
