OAKLEY PRO JUNIOR 2012 DAY 4 - EXCELLENT WAVES AT NORTH STRADBROKE ISLAND

AUSTRALIA'S TOP PRO JUNIOR SURFERS, along with many of the world's best 20 year and under pro junior surfers enjoyed excellent waves at Nth Stradbroke Island today as quarter finals were decided at the prestigious Oakly Pro Junior.
Current Australian Pro Junior Champion Thomas Woods (Burleigh Heads/Gold Coast) was the standout surfer today defeating highly rated international Sth African surfer Beyrick De Vries.
Central Coast NSW surfer Wade Carmichael was also in good form today winning through to tomorrows final day - Carmichael has won the opening two ASP Pro Junior events in Australia this year and is chasing a unique hat-trick of victories at the oakley event.
Running from February 1-5 and held in the varying breaks surrounding the island paradise, the Oakley Pro Junior is the third stop on the prestigious ASP Australasia Pro Junior Men's tour.
Up for grabs is the JS Tractor Big Boost, which will see 12 hand picked competitors (four locals, four Australians and four international competitors) compete for three brand new custom JS surfboards with the best placed local surfer also winning one brand new JS surfboard.
The Oakley Pro Junior is proudly supported by Oakley, JS Surfboards, ASP Australasia, Surfing Queensland and Redland City Council.
