Britain is already beginning to suffer from the drastic budget cuts announced last week. The country's universities are among the sectors affected, and with a reduction in funding to do scientific research, top academics are starting to look abroad for better funded research positions. Even working at prestigious universities does not protect scientists these days from significant budget cuts, noted Professor Brian Foster, particle physicist at Oxford University. "There comes a point when you can no longer, even with the best people, do what you need to do," he told RT.
