Hey Guys! Thanks so much for tuning back in to Clevver Games.
How would you like to turn your room into a real-life video game? The new Ground-breaking Xbox 720 tech could turn your room into a 3D environment. According to a new patent filing- Microsoft's R&D Division is working on a device, known in the patent as an "environmental display", which will project 360-degree game worlds across all four walls of a room using advanced projection technology.
The device contains a 3D depth camera, which is similar to the Kinect in a sense that it can calculate the player's position by emitting infrared light patterns and registering where the player is blocking the signal. The patent states that it will tie into Kinect Glasses tech meaning you could potentially fill your room with 360-degree displays. How neat would it be to feel like you were right in the middle of a video game? And with the new Kinect glass you would be able to potentially observe 3D holograms. Talk about realistic. I hope this is even affordable for little gamer girls like me!
I'm lovin' this technology! What do you think? Let me know in the comments below. Until next time, I'm Hailey Bright and you're watching Clevver Games.
