"Not a Studio Bee Train anime."

WARNING: The following review contains harsh language, moderate violence, and some nudity/sexual content. Viewer discretion is advised.

Here's another decent anime series (I'm trying my hand at reviewing stuff that doesn't quite suck). Canaan has 'Noir' written all over it: from the main characters, the story, to even the yuri themes (okay, that's a bit of a stretch, almost like when it seemed like I gave the creator of GitS 2 shit for having the Basset hound so many times in the movie). This prevents Canaan from being original, distinct, and interesting, but it was still fun and action-packed.

Speaking of Noir, I got to reference one of my all-time favorite anime series (Canta Per Me and Salva Nos are some of her crowning tunes, in my opinion) through the review. It was good to discuss (in some detail) what made the 2001 Studio Bee Train anime series shine, and how it's superior to Canaan (because of its excellent characters, well-written story, orgasmic action scenes, and most of all, its subtlety and style).

Lava Buster is a series of anime (and non-anime) reviews with brutal, honest, and hardcore commentary. These reviews fall under the category of 'education' and 'commentary' (repetitive much?), and therefore, these reviews are NOT created for monetary gain; rather, they're created to provide INSIGHT and ENTERTAINMENT (abiding by Fair Use guidelines, etc). Comments, and constructive criticism, are welcome and appreciated. Enjoy the video.
