As the Toronto film festival opens "Twilight" star Kristen Stewart attracted the biggest buzz in a star-studded festival scattered with Oscar hopefuls.
Stewart greeted cheering fans who showed their support for the actress - as she hit the carpet for the first time since admitting to cheating on boyfriend Robert Pattinson with a married man.
The 22-year-old actress didn't shy away from interviews and talked to most press outlets on the red carpet.
SOUNDBITE: Kristen Stewart, actress, saying (English):
"I've worked here a couple of times and you know it's the festival, if you look at the history of it, it's such an amazing place to take a movie you care about. To stand next to these guys I really can't tell you how much it means to me and to know that everyone is here and support and everything it's amazing."
Stewart is in Toronto to promote her new film "On the Road."
Her performance was praised in Cannes earlier this year, but reaction to her affair has overshadowed the film's North American debut.
Considered one of the world's top festivals, Toronto serves as a kick-off to Hollywood's awards season, and will screen more than 280 films over 11 days.
