While Russia's baking in the heat, Central Europe is swimming in floods. Heavy rains have caused rivers to burst their banks, and left at least 10 people dead in the last few days. The flooding's struck an area near the borders of Poland, Germany and the Czech Republic. Thousands have had to be evacuated from the worst affected areas. Helicopters are plucking people to safety from the roofs of their homes. Meanwhile, a state of emergency has been declared in some parts of Serbia after hailstorms, strong winds and heavy rain hit the country. Eyewitnesses reported seeing hailstones as big as eggs which destroyed some 1,000 hectares of orchards and crops.
