Disappointment in sports after a loss is one thing but for some people it's harder to get past it.

In a sad report, the women’s national team coach for the Russian Volleyball Federation has reportedly committed suicide. The 43-year-old coach had been in Croatia at a training camp at the time of his death. Many people close to him believe the suicide was related to the poor display of his volleyball team at the London Olympics. The Russian women’s volleyball team was among the favorites in the Olympics, however they failed to bring home any medals and lost in the quarterfinals to Brazil. The men’s volleyball coach speaks of his colleague’s death, stating, “He took the Olympics very personally. I saw what he was going through and how upset he was after the defeat.”

Several years ago, an extreme fan couldn’t handle his favorite team losing. The 29-year-old Kenyan man committed suicide by hanging himself, while wearing his team’s shirt. He had been at a pub watching the football game. After his favored team lost, he walked out crying and was found dead at his home the next morning.
