Al Jazeera's Paul Rhys reports on Ali Abdullah Al Bishi, the 17-year-old who is the first person from the Gulf state to compete with the pros at the Commercialbank Qatar Masters.

Al Bishi tees off in a field containing stars like Sergio Garcia, Martin Kaymer, Retief Goosen and final round leader Paul Lawrie.

It is the latest stage in a golfing journey that began when his father Abdullah first picked up a golf club in the days when Qataris had no option but to play on sand courses.
