US presidential hopeful Mitt Romney has won a resounding victory in Florida's Republican primary election.
He beat his nearest rival Newt Gingrich in a campaign that was marked by personal and vicious attacks between the two men.
Addressing his supporters after his win, Romney promised to offer a "winning ticket for America" at the general election in November.
Two other candidates, Ron Paul and Rick Santorum, didn't campaign in the Sunshine state.
