Analyst on Syrian sanctions against Turkey

Syria is taking economic action against Turkey after Ankara froze the assets of Bashar al-Assad's government and suspended all financial deals with the country last week.

Damascus says it will end a free trade agreement which allows tax free Turkish imports into Syria and introduce a 30 per cent tariff on all Turkish goods as well as a tax on Turkish cars travelling in and out of Syria.

Al Jazeera speaks to Younes Abouyoub, a Middle East analyst who questions the extent to which the sanctions will impact Syria and its economy.
