    A meeting of Greek political leaders with the country's president has been pushed back to Thursday, as efforts to appoint a new interim government appeared to have stalled.

    The news of delay comes hours after George Papandreou, the outgoing Greek prime minister, said the political parties had reached an agreement over who would lead the new interim government tasked with tackling the country's debt crisis.
