Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho on Saturday declined to shed lite on the evolution of talks with Totenham for Croat Luka Modric, and turned up the pressure on Brazilian football Kaka concerning his exit from the club.
"Kaka is better positioned to answer a question about his future than I am. If Kaka is here on August 31, I will respect that and try to get the most out of him."
At a press conference held before the team's training session on Saturday to prepare for the following day's Liga match against Getafe, Mourinho also launched a sarcastic attack on Johan Cruyff, after the ex-Barça manager strongly criticized Real Madrid's lack of homegrown starters.
"Look, the more young players I have in my team, the better. The more players 'made in Real Madrid', the better.
"The other day, someone who was a European champion just once spoke, and he won with homegrown players such as Koeman, Stoichkov, Romario and Laudrup. Those were good homegrown players." Mourinho said sarcastically.
