Samba Divas practice samba dance routines for more than 8 months in Brazil. They normally practice at the samba-schools premises, called "quadras" from July until January, February when the official parades happen.
Many of them practice the samba dance 3 times a week, and add to that cardiovascular and strength workout to help during the parades. Some samba dancers can dance up to one full hour, burning almost 800 calories according to some specialists.
