Good Samaritans Accidentally Assist In Robbery - as part of the news series by GeoBeats.

Two well-meaning motorists in Plainfield, New Jersey were driving down the street when they witnessed, what they thought was a man assaulting a woman.

They stopped the vehicle and ran over to assist the woman, enabling her to get away, but there was a glitch in the heroic effort: the woman had just robbed the man.

The male victim was walking along the street when he was attacked by the female, so he did his best to fight her off.

However, with the aid of the two good Samaritans, the thieving woman made off with hundreds of dollars in cash and a gold chain, while police are still trying to locate her.

In another report from June shows that no good deed goes unpunished. After seeing a car careen through a fence and plummet into a river, a man in Moscow stopped his Audi SUV and immediately jumped in to rescue the passengers. During the brave incident, a thief stole the hero's car, valued at approximately $92,000 leaving him stranded.
