At stake in Myanmar's election on Sunday, only the third in 50 years, are 45 parliamentary seats.

Though the open campaigning of Aung San Suu Kyi's opposition party is seen by some as a visible sign of change in the southeast Asian nation others feel only a nominal change in freedom of expression.

With foreign dignitaries reaching out to the country truly free and fair election could affect more than just the political landscape of the nation at the crossroads between regional titans India and China.
